Malawi stool
This pretty stool makes a perfect pair with our iconic Malawi chair and Loveseat. Woven with a rich sense of cultural tradition, the beauty and simplicity make this table an elegant addition to any interior. The cane reeds are harvested and dried in the hot African sun. Each Malawi stool is manually woven along the shores of Lake Malawi, passing on this craft from generation to generation. It takes up to 2-3 days for a skilled man to make a stool, and turning it upside down, you will find the artisan's signature engraved in the wood. The craftsmen are small-scale farmers, organized in a local co-operative, weaving in between the planting or harvesting season. Support the prosperity chain and give the artisans a sustainable income to support their families while preserving their cultural heritage. Celebrate the art of artisans!
