Authentic Atelier

Imagine an Indian atelier in which craftsmen are turning raw materials into powerful pieces. Workshops in India are always full of old tools, spools, scissors, fabrics and block prints. The craftsmen work in the most ancestral way and use these tools until the very end. VAN VERRE decided to extend their lives by recycling them. Block prints, for example are turned into vintage clothes hangers and minimalistic decorative items.

VAN VERRE also recycles old Chapati bowls and turns them into fruit bowls. Women in India still carry the Chapati bowls on their heads and go around the village trading hot bread and fruits. Just like their ancestors did years and years ago.

Use: The items can be dusty. Each product is marked by the story of their previous life. Every single piece is therefore unique.
